        In 2016, she obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law. While in law school, Mrs. Simmons worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Irene Calboli and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Academic Support Department. Mrs. Simmons also served as Vice President of the Women’s Law Student Association and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and the Texas A&M Property Journal. Mrs. Simmons worked as a law clerk with the Cox Law Firm while in law school, and continued her career with the firm after graduation.
